smart pool
It's like virtual pool minus the pool. We plan to have a camera attached to the ceiling above a pool table collecting live feed, and a projector providing guiding lines for the player to use during the game. The project is divided in four parts – getting image recognition to work, devising mathematical modeling for vectors and balls in the game, purchasing equipment such as the camera, and getting a scaffold and miscellaneous material to mount the equipment and get the smart pool table to work. With Steve Feller's help, these tasks are surprisingly more easier than expected, and a deliverable product is very much so expected. It's basically essential in the Smart Home, because it's fun.
